River Pond (Acrylic)
Yeah! I finished! ….I’m always very happy if I can say that this is the best I can do right now.
(These are my children, playing next to the Dungeness River, in the Pacific Northwest.)
River Pond … Day 14 (1 hour)
I have to force myself to paint the people and avoid thinking that I might make a mistake that I can’t fix … I can’t wait until painting people is easier.
River Pond … Day 7 (1 hour)
… happier about dark cedar trees … now to fill in distant stuff and try to keep it “looking” distant.
“Cherry Blossoms” … so far…
Experiment …
Blossoms—-tried sketching with the background colors & then blending that into the background space. Next I’ll paint the details of the branch and flowers…
I don’t know if it will work but so far it has been fun.
Darkened the color behind the grass (still wet) … hopefully the grass will work out.
Trying to figure out how to add details to grass.
Tried “splatter” technique and kept splattering paint into my face. — I think I finally figured it out.
